Dublin Quays

The weather is amazing in Ireland at the moment! Couldn’t resist taking pictures of the still Liffey and surrounding architecture in the golden light as the sun was beginning to set.

'Youth Culture' exhibition part of PhotoIreland 2014

Finally got the chance to see my exhibition today. It’s running for the months of July and August in the Art Lot just off Harcourt Street. ‘Youth Culture’ is part of the PhotoIreland 2014 festival and curated by John Kenny.

Alex Sheridan’s work documents a part of Irish youth culture emanating from the world of skateboarding. Rather than a passive social documenter, at eighteen years old, Sheridan provides the vantage point of an active participant in an ever expanding subculture……” - http://2014.photoireland.org/program/alex-sheridan/

Tenerife, Canary Islands JULY 2014

I just uploaded a new gallery of some of the places and things I saw while I was on holiday in Tenerife last week! I also cleaned up my website making it easier to navigate and a bit cleaner looking. Let me know what you think. http://www.alexsheridan.com/tenerife

London, JUNE 2014

Some photos from a trip to London recently.

Weekend in London

Went to London for a short skate trip last weekend, where we stayed with the gent that is Niall Creaney. I ended up spraining my ankle on the first night (thanks Martin..) and spent the weekend on crutches but still managed to take some photos.

More photos from this trip soon!

35mm Portra 400
Only a few days until I finish my exams, then I’m off to London for the weekend and Tenerife the following weekend. Can’t wait to get back into shooting regularly again!

Coast of Malahide

Some photos from a roll of film I shot over Easter break. Went out for a cycle one morning when the weather was really nice and shot these. I also shot some digital that day but definitely prefer the 35mm shots.

I can’t wait to shoot more film soon.

Apples

I finally got some rolls of film developed that had been sitting around for ages. These were shot roughly this time last year in Swords!

Martin O’Grady

Took a break from study yesterday to meet a few of the lads in Swords for a skate, and we headed out to the motorway bridge banks nearby where Ciaran and Martin threw down some hammers.

MKSC vs. Seabury 2014

The final MKSC vs. Seabury football match as a legacy comes to an end. Couldn’t have asked for better weather on a day filled with goals, abuse, sweat and tears. In the end it was MKSC who took the glory with a 4-1 win, but at least Macker didn’t get his clean sheet.

I finished school today and in just 4 weeks I’ll be finished my exams and free. I’ve had to completely cut back on photo work while I’m coming up to the exams, so once I’m done I’ll be doing some traveling and plenty more shoots!

I went for a short cycle today and took some photos of the bridge near where I live.
